Ian Sephton Chief Executive Officer Ian joined as CEO of Syncromatics in 2013. Before that, he founded the early stage advisory and investment firm Hangar202 and sits on the board of many investments today.  He has over a decade in C-level roles and nearly 20 years in Logistics and Operations with The United States Marine Corp, DHL Express, and The University of Southern California. As a native Southern Californian Ian hopes to help solve the mobility problem by making transit easier to use, more reliable, and a pleasant experience for the riding public. He received his undergraduate degree in business and marketing from California Lutheran University and his MBA from the University of Southern California. In his off time, Ian advises and invests in startups and enjoys writing business articles for publications like the Huffington Post and Linkedin as well as short stories and screenplays.

Josh Bigelow Founder After previously working as a programmer in the USC Transportation department, Josh founded Syncromatics in 2006 and formed key relationships with early customers like UCSD, the City of Key West, and LADOT.Josh went on to help win the 2007 California Clean Tech Open’s Lexus Transportation Prize for the success of the initial deployment at UCSD. Josh has served the company in a wide array of positions including executive management, sales, product management and engineering. In his spare time, Josh is an active participant in the clean technology community and reads daily.

Chris Welch Chief Financial Officer Chris has 30+ years of experience in management, including the last 8 years specifically in public transit. He has held just about every job at Syncromatics and personally deployed our ITS solution to many of our clients.  Chris has served as the Chair of the Glendale Transportation Commission and has been a founder or C-level executive in 5 companies. Chris advocates for sustainability, Complete Streets and alternative transportation as a founding member of Walk Bike Glendale, and frequently braves the streets of LA riding his bike to work.
