Solar-powered Shelter Signs

One of the key goals in deploying a passenger information system is bringing information to the rider at the bus stop. Syncromatics offers solar-powered shelter signs, which operate over cellular networks and require no wiring, making installation and planning a minimal effort. Our signs can accomodate both blind and deaf passengers, and were built to the specifications defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Some key features of the signs are:

Entirely solar powered, no hard wiring necessary

Mounts on 2-inch steel poles, approximately 8 feet from ground; solar panel mounts on top of pole

Estimated 6-7 day runtime with no sunlight

ADA compliant 3 inch characters (one line) or 2 inch inch characters (two line)

ADA compliant talking sign: text-to-speech engine announces text on sign when pole-mounted button is pressed by use

Model shown below is unpainted; signs are painted/detailed to customer specifications.
